Monjul ***
28, rue des Blancs Manteaux, 75004 Paris
Tel: 01.42.74.40.15
WOUAHHH! This is what you’ll say when they bring you the first dish – it looks like a work of art. Foie gras mousse served on a black tile, bœuf Bourguignon thats looks like chocolate cake, salmon and meat together, chocolate and pistachio delirium…every single meal is a scrumptious experiment. The food is delicious, the staff is wonderful, the decor is great… and it’s only 29€ for 3 courses. If you are served a line of red powder with a straw, don’t be alarmed – it’s not the French version of cocaine but tomato powder to sip... creative and funny! Monjul has just opened and while you don’t need reservations now, we’re certain that you will soon.

Le 3 *
3, rue Sainte Croix de la Bretonnerie, 75004 Paris
Métro: Hôtel de Ville
Nice little courtyard and good prices – about 35€ for 3 courses

Le Coupe Gorge **
2, rue de la Coutellerie, 75004 Paris
Métro: Hotel de Ville
One of the best values you’ll find in le Marais. An adorable team serves up excellent French cuisine, with a 3 course menu for only 17€.  For lunch they offer the best deal we’ve found in central Paris – only 11€ !

Le Relais Saint Paul *
33, rue François Miron, 75004 Paris
Métro: Saint Paul
Traditional French cuisine with a country decor.

Le Taxi Jaune *
13, rue Chapon, 75003 Paris
Métro: Rambuteau
An institution for many years, this friendly bistrot style restaurant is very Parisian and found on a quiet street. Even better is the great value you’ll find for lunch !

Au Rendez-vous des Camioneurs *
72 Quai des Orfèvres, 75001 Paris
Métro: Pont Neuf
A very old institution that was at the height of its popularity in the eighties. Today, it still has a gay and mixed clientele, and the location is great!

Les 3 Petits Cochons
31, rue Tiquetonne, 75002 Paris
Métro: Etienne Marcel
This restaurant was a « must » 10 years ago. With growing success came higher prices with reduced portions. A 3 course menu is 34€, but you may be able to find better cuisine at better prices.

Akatsuki *
15, rue des Archives, 75004 Paris
Métro: Hôtel de Ville.
A Japanese style restaurant run by a gay friendly Chinese family. Good value for your euro and always packed. Try menu H for only 16€

Chez Max *
47, rue Saint Honoré, 75001 Paris
Métro: Chatelet  or Louvre
An institution in the eighties, this restaurant is located on the first floor and is still worth a visit. Be sure to make a reservation. Evenings only. Dinner in the 30/40€ range

Le Loup Blanc
Rue Tiquetonne, 75002 Paris
Métro: Etienne Marcel
Friendly atmosphere! The food is served on cheap airline style trays that include the whole meal on one plate. Fun and creative, if not gastronomic…

Marc Mitonne **
60, rue de l'Arbre Sec, 75001 Paris
Métro: Chatelet
If you like traditional French cuisine, grand-Ma style, with big American style portions and a friendly atmosphere, this is a place to go. Nice, sunny terrace outside, typical 17th century cellars inside. Marc, the owner, enjoys spending time with his guests, and you’ll be enchanted by his hospitality. He often organizes parties and concerts, even featuring opera singers!

OZO
37, rue Quincampoix, 75004 Paris
Métro: Chatelet  or Rambuteau
A big restaurant run by the great team from Le Loup Blanc. Ozo offers the same concept of Airline Plateau-repas that you can mix and match, but with higher prices. For 3 courses with drinks, you could see a bill of 40/50€. The design is beautiful and the ambiance delightful!

Le Pavé *
7, rue des Lombards, 75004 Paris
Métro: Châtelet
Le Pavé definitely stands out from the restaurants on this street. Le Pavé de Bœuf is their classic meal, of course, offered at affordable prices. Basic but fresh and always good. We love the terrace !

Les Piétons *
8, rue des Lombards, 75004 Paris
Métro: Châtelet
The Spanish institution… paella and tapas all day, sangria (of course!), cheap drinks, sexy and friendly bartenders. Even if the sky is grey, your heart will feel sunny at Les Piétons, one of the brightest addresses in le Marais, next to the fabulous Hotel Saint Merry.

OKawa
40, rue Vieille du Temple, 75004 Paris

Offering basic lunchtime fare, it’s more like a bar and the perfect afternoon place to sit with friends watching the crowds go by…

Starcooker 2
32, rue des Archives, 75004 Paris

Lounge bar and restaurant. The flashy pink decor is amusing and prices are decent. This is a designer cantina where you can have drinks and choose from a great selection of gourmet goodies to take away with you.

Monday to Sunday non stop noon to midnight.
New cheap menu with plat du jour and coffee for 9,90 € daytime... Cheaper and better than any fast food for sure.

Grizzli Café *
