Opened in 1966 by the Petrucci family in the heart of Le Marais, L’Ambassade d’Auvergne offers warm and hearty traditional meals in an authentic and welcoming setting. Regional specialities, extensive wine list, fresh seasonal market produce…. This venerable Parisian institution is a great place to get together for special occasions around the best table in the house or in one of the private dining rooms on the first floor. A new era has begun; and the oldest traditions are observed and even celebrated.

Their new menu, compiled by new chef E. De Backer reflects regional gastronomy, which evolves along with the seasons and the markets, and offers alongside the most inevitable dishes and flavours from the Auverge. Regional speciality beef, Aligot (gourmet garlic mashed potato), cold deli meats and cheeses along with deliciously indulgent ideas for dessert.

The area around the Ambassade has been wonderfully renovated yet the spirit of the place has remained authentic, generous and like its warm welcome, has always been the trademark of this majestic venue. In January 2015 Didier Désert took control of the venture and to ensure the ongoing promotion of the Auvergne region within Paris, respects the traditions of the house, the quality of the produce, the warmth of the old Le Marais atmosphere and its epicurean spirit.

The Ambassade d’Auvergne has remained a house of tradition and has made its mark in history with a regularly changing menu, offering light and varied dishes for all appetites and desires alongside its trademark traditional Auvergnat dishes.

To end, the Ambassade d’Auvergne boasts a wine list selected by independent and innovative wine-growers, wines born from the Auvergnat soil as well as showcasing great wines from vinyards and wine-growers from all over France.

Lunch menu: Flavours of Auvergne from €22.50 to €33. So much pleasure for such a reasonable price and value for money, but that is the skill of the house and for which they have always been well known.
