I have been to Paris several times and stumbled upon this restaurant while shopping. The food is amazing and the locals who dine there are always friendly and fun. After our first visit, we lost the card, name of restaurant, location ,etc. and spent 2 days trying to find it. Never did find it that visit, but last year while on line looking for it, my friend saw the pictures of interior, including table where we sat. She sent it to me, and we knew this was the spot. Chez Camille is permanently entrenched in our mind! Every time we go to Paris we will frequent it because we are never disappointed. There are a lot of great restaurants in Paris, but this is our favorite. We do not speak French, but there is an English speaking waiter who is very charming and helpful. There is wonderful interaction between diners, servers, manager, etc. We always feel welcome. The restaurant is very cozy which adds to our total experience. I love Paris and Marais, especially Chez Camille. Be sure to try the daily specials, especially the deserts:)

After doing some shopping on Rue des Francs Bourgeois, I stumbled upon this restaurant. It caught my attention: it was busy (always a good sign) and served French home-cooked dishes. As lately I'm keen to traditional French home cooked cuisine; after spending these past few years at different friends homes across France and value more home French home cooked meals. The restaurant is very cozy, which is a plus during cold winter days and the food though a bit pricey it was worth every euro, I had the cream of celery soup to start; which was delicate but hearty at the same time, yum!!! Then I ordered the scallops (St. Jacques); I didn't know if they were in season, but I went for it. They were amazing and then I had Creme Brûlée for dessert; very nice. Steve
