| Throughout time, Tunisian artisans have created
useful objects for daily life. They used primarily those materials
available in their environment, such as wool and silks, olive
wood, copper, clay, glass, and alpha grass. These objects, while
both useful and beautiful, played an important role in the family
economy. They were often sold or swapped at « Souk »,
the village weekly market day. Modern life inevitably brought
changes in social and economic structures, distancing the hand
that creates from the hand that buys. The Comptoirs de Carthage
and their craftsmen bring you this world of authentic goods
made with noble materials from generations of skilled knowledge.
