SALENTO : traditional Italian cuisine in the heart of the Marais

SALENTO : traditional Italian cuisine in the heart of the Marais
Salento, a superb Italian restaurant, first opened in March 2010 on the rue du Temple and is now located on the quiet rue de Jarente, just off the charming Place du Marché St Catherine. Salento offers traditional Italian cuisine revisited according to French tastes. The cuisine is resolutely generous with large portions and is inspired by Mediterranean cuisine and local specialties from Salento, the region of origin of one of the restaurant’s founders. We enjoyed a lunch of delicious ‘al dente’ pasta at this new location with Rosemary Flannery, American tour guide and author and photographer of the 'Angels of Paris: An Architectural Tour through the History of Paris.' We definitely recommend Salento for a great lunch under 20€ in this warm, welcoming bistro decorated with fine work by professional photographers.
