4 star hotels in le marais
|
|
Based on the strict French hotel classification, 4 stars is related to size of the room. It must have a separate toilet and bathroom, and generally the room is over 200 square feet (most 3 stars are just 150 square feet and sometimes less). Many business hotels outside the center can claim 4 stars and do match this classification. But would you enjoy bad furniture from the 1980s, brown carpet and institutional-looking design? Certainly not. Due to the small size of buildings in Paris’s historic center, there are very few 4-star hotels because the rooms are just too small to get the standard classification. BUT, some upscale 3-star places easily match the international classification for 4 stars. We chose to list such establishments in the 4-star category. They are exceptional for their décor, their service and their ambiance. When entering any of them, you may notice just 3 stars on the front door. But rest assured, they would receive stars if they met with the strict state controls on room sizes.
Again, please mention our parismarais® web site when
you book with them!

hotel du jeu de paume
hotel du jeu de paume
The Hotel du Jeu de Paume is a charming four stars nested between the arms of the Seine, on the Saint Louis Island, at walking distance from some of the most famous areas of Paris : le Marais et le Quartier Latin. As per its name, this building is a rehabilitation of a former royal real tennis court, built under Louis XIII, at the beginning of the 17th century. The wood frame, 17 meters high, overhangs the breakfast room, and rooms are built all around. The Jeu de Paume offers 27 rooms and 3 suites, decorated in a design style with a reference to the most famous artists of the 20th century. The suites are in duplex, opening onto the patio-garden, certain rooms are mansard-roofed in the bohemian spirit. All are equipped with complete bathroom, minibar, flat screen LED, phones, and free WiFi access. The lobby evokes the colors of Mondrian, and the famous chairs of Verner Panton cut bravely with the old beams of the real tennis. The glazed elevator offers a sight to 180 °. The terrace-garden is great to have breakfast or a glass of wine, weather permitting!

le pavillon de la reine
le pavillon de la reine
Located on the romantic Place des Vosges, between courtyard and garden, the Pavillon de la Reine is an oasis of luxury and peace in a very animated area. The 56 rooms - all different - are equipped with the latest amenities, however the feeling is of old-world elegance - hand-painted headboards, Louis XIII style antique furnitures or more contemporary ones, marble bathrooms and high quality carpets and walldrapes. The staff, always kind and discreet, will help you feel at home, either in your room, or with a drink at the “honesty bar” around the imposing fireplace.

hotel bourg tibourg
hotel bourg tibourg
In one of the most picturesque parts of Paris, the Bourg Tibourg Hotel is steeped in the atmosphere of its home neighbourhood, the Marais. Ideally situated, it is an excellent departure point for strolls through the historical and cultural heart of Paris. The Place des Vosges, Notre Dame, Carnavalet Museum, etc. Push the doors and admire the surprising decor by Jacques Garcia. A decoration that is inspired by the neo-gothic with a spicy touch of the orient and softened by a very romantic and very "French" touch. The rooms combine harmony and elegance against a backdrop of comfort and modernity. The small, enclosed garden designed by Camille Muller and the 5th-floor balcony offering a pretty view of the Paris skyline are both worth discovering.

hotel du petit moulin
hotel du petit moulin
Discover this unique hotel. It's Parismarais coup de coeur. Each room is a veritable designer's creation conceived by none other than Christian Lacroix. You'll receive a regal welcome without the stuffy formality. Nadia Murano and her staff deserve a gold model for their courtesy and kindness. Choosing this haute couture boutique hotel is choosing luxury, savoir-vivre and warmth. Your stay will be a memorable one. For the best prices, reserve well in advance via parismarais.com. You'll rub shoulders with lots of fashion and decoration mavens who have fallen under the spell of this magical spot. Many rooms have been redecorated, always and reliably by Lacroix. And each night is a trip to a wondrous dreamland. When I designed l'Hotel du Petit Moulin in Le Marais, I had the impression of rediscovering an erstwhile childhood dream, left by the wayside. A dream of living in a hotel, building a decor, day after day, in the colors of the times, putting ambiences together into volume and space and not only on paper or through fashion collections. At Le Petit Moulin, we pass from a rustic Marais in toile de Jouy to a more zen or design Marais or from an historical Marais in damasks to a more playful Marais. It is all these contrasts that I have endeavored to translate into seventeen ambiences corresponding to each of the seventeen rooms, like seventeen ways of experiencing the Marais Christian Lacroix

hotel villa mazarin
hotel villa mazarin
Found in a prestigious 1850's Haussmanian building, the Villa Mazarin is unique in many ways: its style, ambiance and warm welcome. The owners, who also created the magnificent Orangerie Resort in Aigues-Mortes, have taken advantage of the architectural features of this building to create a neo-imperial style that perfectly matches the house. Villa Mazarin is the first hotel in Le Marais to boast this very elegant Parisian style. With warm colors, superb black and white stone bathrooms, fine art in every room, air conditioning…and even the smallest room is almost twice the size of most other hotel rooms in the area. It is also the first 4-star hotel to be completely non-smoking. When you leave the hotel, you find yourself facing the glorious Renaissance Hôtel de Ville and BHV, the famous "Bazaar" where shopping is a dream. You are just a few meters away from cafés, terraces, chic boutiques and gay bars, perfect for fun and seduction. This is definitely the best choice for your stay in the very heart of Le Marais.
