Le Pharamond, veritable institution nestled since 1832 just next to Les Halles, near the Marais, offers a cuisine combining tradition with flavors of today. The restaurant, an official historical monument, will seduce you with its elegant, classic decor as well as with their private rooms- available for a romantic dinner or a meal with friends. Many illustrious visitors such as Ernest Hemingway and Scott Fitzgerald entertained and were entertained here.
Regarding tradition, the famous tripes in Caen style (22.50 euros) alone are worth the trip. For fans of more contemporary cuisine, the pan-fried scallops, the crusted cod or the Charolais beef tartare (24.50 euros) are highly recommended. Menus including the Pharamond menu (39.90 euros) will also allow gourmets to discover, without going bankrupt, the great variety of this venerable restaurant. The wine list also deserves your full attention with a selection of great vintages at reasonable prices. You will notably find a Chateau Talbot, a 1990 Saint Julien, a 4è grand cru classé, and a Chateau Gruaud Larose 1989, considered the king of wines as well as the wine of kings. Magnifique!
