If you love to curl up with a good book, you are certainly in for a treat! Le Marais is home to a huge selection of specialty bookshops. Whatever your interest, from art and architecture to cooking, photography, romance and mystery – and books for the kids too – you’re sure to uncover a gem. You can also find antique books, comic books and several shops catering to specific languages. And of course, there are shops offering a bit of everything as well. With such a vast assortment, the only hard part will be making a choice!

Tip: In French, “librarie” does not mean “library,” it simply means bookshop where you can buy books, not borrow them. The French word for library is “bibliothèque.”
